Experience the grandeur of Misty Fjords National Monument by both sea and air. From your floatplane, you will truly appreciate the magnitude of this 2-million-acre national treasure as you fly over Rudyard Bay, its most spectacular fjord. You will then rendezvous with your excursion vessel in a secluded cove, where you will be in awe of cliffs that tower hundreds of feet above you and cascading waterfalls plunging into placid waters. You will also visit famous New Eddy Stone Rock, a volcanic plug, rising 237 feet from the waters of the Beam Canal. The rocks are the summer homes of numerous seals, and ever-present bald eagles often share space on the rocks or can be seen soaring throughout the monument. Emerald waters reflect the lushness of a temperate rain forest as your guide provides a professional narration of the wildlife, plants, and geology in the area. Make yourself comfortable in the warm, spacious cabin or on the open deck. Complimentary light snacks and beverages are included. Please Note: Tour may operate in reverse due to weather or scheduling of the seaplanes. Approximately 4 hours; 35 minutes of flight time.
